Every guitarist on YouTube’s already done a Metallica cover, so why not choose Master of Puppets – Metallica’s most overplayed song? Treading well worn territory and falling asleep while doing so, here’s my Master of Puppets bass cover:
Nobody seems to agree on how this song is rightfully played, so I took some parts from various tabs and made it my own. Unpopular opinion: Cliff Burton was a pretty average bassist and played pretty wack root/fifth harmonies so I chopped those out. It’s always fun to play some non-standard parts for covers.
