Dungeons & Dragons is a classic tabletop role playing game that jocks love to make fun of and nerds love to play. Since I’m both a jock and a nerd, I was stoked to laugh at myself while making this sick “Lucky Swag” logo for a Dungeons & Dragons group. Drawing the name from two of the party’s characters (Swagtoof and Lucky Fluke), this is one of my best logos yet. Check it out:
Although my experience with D&D is practically zero, I love fantasy novels. R.A. Salvatore’s books are some of my favorites and they’re based on the D&D world, so it’s probably a pretty fun game to play. I threw in some classic D&D themes including a sword and a 20 sided dice. Here’s a couple of detail shots:
I threw in a ton of small details in the sword and made the whole logo lit from below, as if overlooking a campfire of an ominous group of enemy goblins.
I did some beveled edges on the text along with damage, and drew the iconic D&D 20 sided dice for some extra fun.
