Recently my friend Tanner Guzy over at Masculine Style approached me about a complete overhaul of his current brand identity. I’d created Tanner’s original logo a few years ago, so this was a fun opportunity to improve on something I’d previously worked on.

Tanner requested a more print-friendly image than his old logo, which relied heavily upon shadows and gradients. I utilized a more “flat” design with the new Masculine Style logo, employing solid lines along with the same monochrome palette as the previous logo. I kept with the same lion/shield theme as the old logo along with laurel leaves behind the shield.

Here’s a comparison between the old and new logos:

Masculine Style also got a flashy new site design thanks to Remy at Sheppard Web Group. Remy is also a good friend of mine with a lot of talent and web skill and we’ve worked together on several projects. He never hesitates to help me out whenever I have web design questions of my own.

Masculine Style is an excellent resource for all things related to men’s fashion. Make sure you take a look at the brand-new Masculine Style site, and don’t hesitate to get in touch with Tanner with any style questions you have.
